One Faith Confessed in Many Nations

350 Years of the Second London Confession of Faith

Join us in London to celebrate 350 years of God’s faithfulness with international speakers, a wide range of resources, refreshments, and fellowship.

Mark The Occasion With Us

In 1677, Particular Baptist congregations in London published a confession of faith to give a clear and public account of their doctrine. In a time of suspicion, they affirmed their agreement with the wider Reformed Protestant tradition and testified to their shared commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Later formally owned by the churches, this confession stands not as a private statement, but as the united voice of congregations confessing the faith once delivered to the saints.

Three and a half centuries later, churches far beyond London, spread throughout the nations, confess this same faith.

This conference marks 350 years of that enduring testimony, as we meet in London to give thanks for the faith Christ has preserved and renew our calling to confess him faithfully in our own day.

We will gather at Westminster Chapel, in the heart of London. This historic building will serve as the meeting place for churches and believers coming together to remember the past, rejoice in present unity, and look forward with renewed faithfulness.

Hosted by IRBS & Broken Wharfe

This conference is hosted jointly by International Reformed Baptist Seminary (IRBS) and Broken Wharfe, institutions united by a shared commitment to the life, doctrine, and witness of the Second London Confession of Faith.

International Reformed Baptist Seminary serves Christ’s church by forming men for the work of gospel ministry through careful theological instruction and deliberate pastoral training. This is done through the teaching of God’s inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word tied together with hands-on practice in the local church.

Broken Wharfe, taking its name from the historic London assembly of 1689, stands in continuity with those churches which publicly confessed the faith once delivered to the saints. Through the publication and distribution of theological resources, it seeks to strengthen the churches and extend the reach of Reformed Baptist witness in the present day.

Together, these labours reflect a common purpose: that Christ’s church might be built up in truth, ordered according to his Word, and strengthened for faithful testimony among the nations. In marking 350 years of the Second London Baptist Confession, this conference is not merely an act of remembrance, but a renewed expression of that same confession — owned, believed, and lived in our own generation.
